L’agriresort Tenuta Ranieri sorge su un terreno adiacente la Riserva Statale Iona Serra della Guardia, un’area naturale protetta situata nella provincia di Cosenza, con una superficie di 264,00 ettari, istituita nel 1977 nel cuore della Sila Grande, a circa 1200 m. sl.m. di altitudine. Il territorio in cui l’azienda sorge fa parte di un comprensorio di grande valenza naturalistica e paesaggistica, come testimonia il Parco Nazionale della Sila che, con i suoi 73695 ha, rappresenta una delle riserve naturali più estese ed importanti d’Europa, in termini di biodiversità e riconosciuta come 10a riserva della biosfera italiana della rete mondiale dei siti di eccellenza dell’UNESCO. Posto a circa 8 km dalla nota località turistica e sciistica di Camigliatello Silano, l’agriresort Tenuta Ranieri si raggiunge percorrendo la strada provinciale SP 247 che collega località Moccone, dove sorge la storica stazione delle Ferrovie della Calabria – e da dove, ancora oggi, è possibile godere delle bellezze paesaggistiche circostanti a bordo di un trenino a vapore, con i paesi adagiati sulle colline del versante in destra Crati: Luzzi, Rose, Acri, Bisignano. La strada si snoda tra estese coltivazioni di patate – la “regina della Sila”- e pascoli naturali destinati principalmente alla podolica, razza bovina diffusa in tutto il sud Italia, che ben si è adattata alle condizioni ambientali difficili dell’altopiano silano, dove viene allevata con sistemi tradizionali, allo stato semi-brado.

La villa sorge in un contesto agro-forestale tipico della Sila, nascosta alla vista di coloro che percorrono la strada SP 247 ed offre ai suoi visitatori uno spettacolo unico: circondata da pascoli, prati e terreni agricoli davanti, protetta ad ovest dai boschi con alti fusti di pini e ancora boschi di ontani e pioppi, che seguono il corso del piccolo ruscello che scorre lungo il confine sud. Il tutto avvolto in un’atmosfera magica, sospesa nel tempo, dove il silenzio è rotto solo dal fruscio del

vento che attraversa la pineta e dai suoni della fauna locale Oltre alla ricchezza faunistica, la flora offre una biodiversità costituita da fustaie pure di pino laricio, miste di pino laricio e faggio, nonché di ceduo di castagno, di probabile origine artificiale. Il sottobosco, durante tutto l’anno nasconde piccoli tesori, per il piacere di chi ha la pazienza di cercarli: così in estate fanno capolino fragoline e more; in autunno molto apprezzati sono i funghi, su tutti il porcino, L’Azienda Ranieri ha affiancato alla già nutrita flora spontanea, alcuni alberi da frutto: meli, peri, noccioli, susini, noci e castagni. Oggi i terreni antistanti la struttura sono in parte destinati al pascolo, i restanti spazi sono invece destinati alla coltivazione ecosostenibile di patate ed ortive che, anche grazie all’impiego di serre, consentono di coltivare pomodori a 1200 m di quota!

L’agriresort Tenuta Ranieri si svolge su due piani, più un piano mansarda. Lo stile scelto per l’arredamento ha voluto salvaguardare il dettame stilistico originario, tipico delle abitazioni dell’altipiano silano, dove domina il granito ed il legno locali. Al piano terra si sviluppa la zona giorno costituita da un ampio salone, nel quale fa bella mostra di sé il grande camino realizzato in mattoni a vista e granito locale, che si apre sulla pineta. Poi una sala relax, dove è possibile dedicarsi ad una piacevole lettura davanti al camino, durante le giornate piovose autunnali, oppure intrattenere delle conversazioni con gli altri ospiti, o ancora sfidarsi in giochi da tavolo. Infine, la cucina ad uso esclusivo dei proprietari.

In totale l’accoglienza si attesta a 10 posti letto. Al primo piano si trovano le camere per gli ospiti, tutte dotate di bagno in camera, climatizzazione, tv e collegamento wifi. Al piano mansarda sono presenti altre due stanze con bagno interno e collegate da un piccolo salottino, destinate ad un nucleo di 4 persone che desiderano uno spazio riservato. Gli spazi interni sono stati concepiti per dare ospitalità alle persone con disabilità motorie, con servizi igienici dedicati, realizzati nel rispetto delle vigenti normative in materia di abbattimento delle barriere architettoniche. La struttura è dotata di un’ulteriore locale al piano terra, composto da una zona giorno, una camera da letto tripla

ed un bagno per disabili, che può accogliere un gruppo o una famiglia di 4/5 persone, da utilizzare anche come casa vacanze, per soggiorni più lunghi.

Ciascun ambiente è stato pensato prendendo ispirazione dai colori della natura circostante nelle diverse stagioni. Nei due saloni al piano terra, ad esempio, dominano i colori caldi: dal rosso ferrarese, al giallo ed il marrone tipici del foliage autunnale silano. Nelle camere, ancora, troviamo il verde dei boschi circostanti; l’azzurro del cielo; l’arancio, come le spettacolari aurore ed ai tramonti che si possono ammirare semplicemente stando alla finestra. Nelle stanze al piano mansarda, dominano i colori del legno: dal colore ambra dei soffitti realizzati in legno lamellare al colore noce scuro degli arredi, che donano luce e calore agli ambienti.

Area esterna attrezzata con tavolini e salottini dove trascorrere momenti in relax, immersinel verde del bosco circostante, oppure fruire di ampi spazi verdi in un contesto naturale incontaminato, dove praticare sport all’aperto in ogni stagione.

 

 

The Tenuta Ranieri agriresort is located on land adjacent to the Iona Serra della Guardia State Reserve, a protected natural area located in the province of Cosenza, with a surface area of ​​264.00 hectares, established in 1977 in the heart of the Sila Grande, at about 1200 m. above sea level. The territory in which the company is located is part of an area of ​​great naturalistic and landscape value, as evidenced by the Sila National Park which, with its 73695 ha, represents one of the largest and most important natural reserves in Europe, in terms of biodiversity and recognized as the 10th Italian biosphere reserve of the UNESCO world network of sites of excellence. Located about 8 km from the famous tourist and ski resort of Camigliatello Silano, the Tenuta Ranieri agriresort can be reached by taking the provincial road SP 247 that connects the locality of Moccone, where the historic Ferrovie della Calabria station is located – and from where, even today, it is possible to enjoy the surrounding landscape beauties aboard a steam train, with the villages nestled on the hills on the right side of Crati: Luzzi, Rose, Acri, Bisignano. The road winds through extensive potato crops – the “queen of the Sila” – and natural pastures mainly intended for the Podolica, a cattle breed widespread throughout southern Italy, which has adapted well to the difficult environmental conditions of the Sila plateau, where it is raised with traditional systems, in a semi-wild state.

The villa is located in an agro-forestry context typical of the Sila, hidden from the view of those who travel along the SP 247 road and offers its visitors a unique spectacle: surrounded by pastures, meadows and agricultural land in front, protected to the west by woods with tall pine trunks and still woods of alders and poplars, which follow the course of the small stream that flows along the southern border. All wrapped in a magical atmosphere, suspended in time, where the silence is broken only by the rustling of the wind that crosses the pine forest and the sounds of the local fauna. In addition to the rich fauna, the flora offers a biodiversity consisting of pure high forests of Corsican pine, mixed Corsican pine and beech, as well as chestnut coppice, probably of artificial origin. The undergrowth, throughout the year, hides small treasures, for the pleasure of those who have the patience to look for them: so in summer strawberries and blackberries peep out; in autumn mushrooms are very popular, especially porcini mushrooms. The Ranieri Company has added some fruit trees to the already abundant spontaneous flora: apple trees, pear trees, hazelnut trees, plum trees, walnut trees and chestnut trees. Today the land in front of the structure is partly used for grazing, the remaining spaces are instead used for the eco-sustainable cultivation of potatoes and vegetables which, also thanks to the use of greenhouses, allow tomatoes to be grown at 1200 m above sea level!

The Tenuta Ranieri agriresort is spread over two floors, plus an attic. The style chosen for the furnishings wanted to safeguard the original stylistic dictate, typical of the homes of the Sila plateau, where local granite and wood dominate. On the ground floor there is the living area consisting of a large living room, in which the large fireplace made of exposed brick and local granite, which opens onto the pine forest, is proudly displayed. Then a relaxation room, where you can enjoy a pleasant read in front of the fireplace, during the rainy autumn days, or entertain conversations with other guests, or challenge each other in board games. Finally, the kitchen for the exclusive use of the owners.

In total, the accommodation is 10 beds. On the first floor there are the guest rooms, all equipped with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, TV and wifi connection. On the attic floor there are two other rooms with en-suite bathroom and connected by a small living room, intended for a group of 4 people who want a private space. The interior spaces have been designed to provide hospitality to people with motor disabilities, with dedicated toilets, built in compliance with current regulations on the removal of architectural barriers. The structure is equipped with an additional room on the ground floor, consisting of a living area, a triple bedroom

and a bathroom for disabled people, which can accommodate a group or a family of 4/5 people, to be used also as a holiday home, for longer stays.

Each room has been designed taking inspiration from the colors of the surrounding nature in different seasons. In the two lounges on the ground floor, for example, warm colors dominate: from the Ferrarese red, to the yellow and brown typical of the autumn foliage of Sila.
